Julia is the embodiment of the athlete-scholar while at Dwight-Englewood School. Julia was a 3-sport athlete at D-E (Soccer, Basketball, & Softball). In January 2007, she was named by the Bergen Record as “Athlete of the Week” for scoring her 1,000th point in basketball. She was the first D-E female basketball player to reach that milestone. Her basketball career point total is 1,594, which still stands as the highest career point total for girls’ basketball at D-E. She was honored as All Bergen County basketball 2nd team 2007-2008.
Julia played softball at D-E at a time when the team made it to States for the first time in a decade or more. She played Varsity softball at University of Chicago for 4 years, and was the DIII Women’s Athlete of the Week more than once.
She was the recipient of the D-E Silberfein Award Cookman Trophy, Boling Award, and the Ann Hardy Award. Julia was also inducted into D-E’s Cum Laude Society her senior year.
